Get Brighter Teeth with Professional Teeth Whitening

Our teeth will likely become stained over time due to the coffee, tea, pizza, and pasta we consume. Almost everything we eat and drink contributes to tooth staining. This happens gradually, and eventually, we notice that our teeth are no longer as white as they used to be.

Professional whitening is one of the easiest ways to improve our smile and boost our confidence. Our Zoom whitening treatments are more effective than those in the toothpaste aisle. Whether you prefer in-office whitening or take-home trays, most patients notice significant improvements after a few sessions.

It’s time to take charge of your oral care, remove the stains, and brighten your smile. At Drew Family Dentistry, we can help you discover the best whitening option.

  • What are the benefits of teeth whitening?

What are the benefits of teeth whitening? Teeth whitening brightens your smile, which can boost confidence and help you appear healthier, happier, and younger. This can significantly improve your overall appearance and sometimes be achieved in just one treatment.

  • Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening is generally considered to be safe. Professional teeth whitening treatments are the safest option for your teeth. If you use at-home teeth whitening solutions, it’s important not to overdo it. It’s important not to use abrasive whiteners too often or aggressively, as this can damage your enamel. If using chemical whiteners, use strips with a lower chemical concentration, and don’t leave them on for too long. This can cause tooth sensitivity and discomfort in the gums.

  • How is professional teeth whitening performed?

Our office offers two types of professional teeth whitening services: in-office and custom-made trays.

In-office: We start by protecting sensitive areas inside the mouth, such as the lips and gums, to avoid exposure to the peroxide. Then, we activate a high-concentration hydrogen peroxide gel directly to the teeth. You will rest comfortably briefly while the gel works, and then we remove the coverings and rinse the gel away.

Custom-made trays: We will take a custom mold of your teeth to create clear trays that you can take home, along with a whitening gel. These trays help minimize the risk of the whitening gel affecting your gums or mouth, allowing you to whiten your teeth from the comfort of your home. Place the whitening gel inside the trays and put the trays in your mouth.
