I love practicing dentistry due to the fact to get to interact with patients on a day to day basis and getting to work with them to help come up with solutions to their concerns, their problems, their goals and getting to work collaboratively with the patients to try and figure out a plan that works for them. And in addition, I love the artistry and the technology aspects that dentistry gives me the ability to continue learning and working with. But primarily the chance to get to work with patients on a day to day basis is the main motivating factor. As far as practicing dentistry and getting to deliver dentistry to patients, the most rewarding thing for me is getting to see patients appreciate the work that I've done for them, for them to be happy with the changes that we've made, for me to be able to deliver excellent customer service and excellent care to them.
To me, that's the most rewarding thing to see a patient appreciate the time and the effort that we've put in, myself and my staff have put into to giving them the best service we can give them. I went to dental school at Oregon Health Sciences in Portland, and had a wonderful experience there. But as I went through my time in dental school, it was very obvious to me that I enjoyed some more challenging, more comprehensive aspects of dentistry. So I applied and was accepted to the University of Florida and did an advanced program in general dentistry at University of Florida. So we did a lot of complex, primarily dental implant focused work and studies in that program that gave me a great foundation for feeling confident to tackle more advanced surgeries and more advanced planting. But yeah, that was a wonderful experience and kind of gave me the confidence and foundation to continue doing what I'm doing today.
